Smoking Slipper

No Smoking here! But when it comes to the “it shoe” for fall, the smoking slipper is what you should be looking for! I’m slowly moving into this trend, as it wasn’t my first pick for a fall shoe! But the more glittery, polka dot, capped toe options I see, I find myself falling for this must have shoe!

On that note- I should make my mind up soon!  The rain has started to fall POUR in Vancouver, I might just have to stick to the rain boots from now on. Boo!

October? What?

First off, thank you for all the thoughtful messages and comments about our big news! We are so excited for our little baby Hibbs to arrive! It’s finally becoming oh so real! I will try my very  best not to flood my blog with baby items- but a few baby fashion items here and there won’t hurt right? Okay.. and maybe a little nursery brainstorming might be happening! But, all exciting things that I’m sure you can apply to an adorable baby in your life! ;)

On to the next! Can you believe it’s October 1st!? Wow, time if flying by fast!  I don’t know about you, but fall is definitely my favourite when it comes to fashion! My hubby and I were already all bundled up yesterday… we stepped outside annnnd yes indeed we felt a fall breeze, which only meant one thing! Bring out the fall clothes!

Lots of you have been asking what are my top trends/must haves are for the fall. This year is a little tricky, only because there isn’t anything NEW this season. Which is good for your wallets- since you can bring a lot of your last year’s items out to play. So for any real new trends this season I can’t really lead you into the right direction. HOWEVER.. there are lots of trends that are returning with full force. Here are my top 7 favourite trends which I hope you can embrace this fall:

A. Leather details- sleeves, edges, pockets…
B. Ankle booties
C. A cozy sweater/jacket or cape.
D. Leather Square Shopping Bag/Tote
E. Lots of gold chunky jewellery
F. Touched of animal prints and fur.
G. Dark manicured nails!

1. Denim Trail Shirt $80
2. Faux leather-sleeved twill trench coat $240
3.  Essie Fall Collection $18
4.  Tory Burch Suede Angle Boot $425
5.  Ankle Boot Cowboy $219
6.  Skinny Animal Print Belt $31
7.  Suede Studded Shopper Bag $112
8.  Brown and Back Coatigan $72
9.  Lauren Ralph Lauren Modern Equestrian Bracelet $58
10. House of Harlow 1960 – Sunburst Button Earrings $30
11. Leather Bow Gloves $20

Guess what….

Feeling a little bit more.. hungrier, fuller, bigger, tired, happier these days….

It can only mean one thing!! Little baby Hibbs is on his/her way!

My husband and I are sooo excited and thrilled to say that we got to hear our precious little (plum size- to be exact) baby’s heart beat today! It was the most unreal experience, I gave out a little laugh and cry all at the same time! The joy that we’re experiencing can only be a gift from God! We’re so blessed and thrilled to meet our baby on April 15th 2013!

Let the fun begin!

Thank you Melissa Skoda for capturing such a precious photo!

We’re back!

Wow, what a two weeks it has been! Sorry for the little MIA, but my husband and I jetted off to Europe for a little adventure! It was so nice to be back in some of our favourite cities as well as discovering new ones! We traveled Europe a little differently this time. Yes, we ventured our way into the “cruising world”. I’m not going to lie, we were quite nervous and very sceptical about the whole experience. We weren’t too keen about the fact that we didn’t have the freedom to explore the citys after 6pm and hearing rumours that we were going to be the youngest on the boat frightened us a little!

BUT we were pleasantly surprised!

We started and ended off our trip with two days in both Paris and Rome, having two days to explore and enjoy dinner in the evenings and riding bikes till 10 o’clock at night. It was perfect! From Paris we flew to Rome where we boarded the ship and our new adventure began! Lets start off by saying that unpacking your suitcase only once while visiting all these cities, was quite nice! We loved waking up in a new city every morning! But yes, we did wish we had more time to explore the cities… being back on the boat around 5pm wasn’t our favourite! I guess you can’t have the best of both worlds! The part I was most surprised about was the two days we had at sea. I was worried that it was going to be flat out boring.Quite the opposite! Having those two days to relax and lay out by the pool AND sea were just perfect! Exploring Europe is so exhausting, I am thankful for those two days out at sea! :)

AND now we are back, and back to reality we are! It was so great to be away, but I must say it’s always nice to be home! Hope you enjoyed the photos that I posted along the way! If you haven’t been to Europe, I 100% encourage you to go! It is a little pricier trip… but why not start saving now? You’ll be blown away and love it, it’s worth every penny!

OH… and we were definitely NOT the youngest on the cruise!!

Have a peek at more photos via @doctorscloset on Instagram!

Thanks to Royal Caribbean International and Expedia Cruise Ship Centres for such a great time!
