My top 5 Oscar Dresses
What’s my favorite part of the Oscars? The red carpet! There were so many stunning gowns, it was hard to pick my top 5! Interesting enough, 3 of them are very similar glimmering naturals. Hilary Swank won my number one favorite, wearing a Gucci Premiere couture strapless, floor length evening gown. Hale Bare stunned the crowd with her nude and crystal encrusted Marchesa corset gown with organza and silk tulle ruffles, and of course with Christian Louboutin heels. Mandy Moore’s almost painted on stunning nude and crystal Monique Lhuillier gown was breath taking! All three actresses we’re clearly on the same page – I’m not complaining, they were perfect!
I also loved Mila Kunis’s gorgeous lavender chiffon gown. With tiered lace detailing and groisgrain ribbon waist from Elie Saab Haute Couture.
And my number 5 most stunning dress at the 2011 oscars was Camila Alves’ black gown designed by Kautman Franco. Something about this dress reminds me of my wedding dress (in white of course). And if you’re wondering what Matthew McConaughey was wearing (being glued to her side), he was head to toe in Dolce & Gabbana. {Very similar to what Troy wore on our wedding day too! -ha!}

ahhhhhhhh so unimpressed by the first three here… nothing new :( k, maybe kunis was better, but this first 2 i feel like ive seen on every single award show! halle’s is pretty, but then again, we’ve seen it a million times before! it’s all the same old styles and patterns with little cosmetic differences! LOOOVE the last one! finally something! her hair and makeup and earrings fit prefectly too! oh and you left out the best one of them! cate blanchette!!! now that’s original and beautiful! i also loved gwyneth’s and jennifer hudson’s! ps. natalie portman was so underwhealming, theyre all saying nice things about it, but lets be honest, its only cause shes pregnant!!!!! :D she gets no pregnancy sympathy from me :P

How about James Franco coming out in basically the same dress as Sandra Bullock? Thankfully, she gave the gloves a miss and her neckline was much better.

I love the shape and neckline of Mila Kunis’s dress, but not a big fan of the color. That one would have been amazing as well in a nude colour! Great choices Mon!
I don’t typically have a great opinion on these types of things, but I feel like Halle Berry wears the same style of dress every year. Am I wrong?!
yes… i couldn’t see that. Though I usually always go back to the same style of dress too… something safe about knowing what type of dress you feel most comfortable in!

I loved Mila’s dress at the Oscars. Fun, flirty and refreshing. I also loved Camila Alves’ Kaufman Franco dress was gorgeous on her, definitely a statement dress.
