off to NYC

Well the day has come…VERY quickly! The girls are off to NYC- for a fun filled extra extra long weekend! It’s 2:22 am and I’m running around trying to finish everything off! I have to leave my house house in 2.5 hours and I haven’t even packed yet! Lets just say it’s been a VERY busy week! I’m almost done! Almost time to relax and enjoy the honking horns of NYC… plus all the shopping of course!

Normally when I travel I have everything researched and know where to eat, know what to see, know where to go! Now, I have been to New York once before. But I feel like there is so much to see and do- no matter how many times you’ve been! I didn’t get much research done this time around! SO, I thought I would ask all of you! Any suggestions that my little travel book might not have?

I would love to know you’re favourite restaurant, or little boutique on the corner of somewhere beautiful! Let us know! I’ll be sure to be checking my comments!

Thanks in advance from all 6 of us! xo

Wednesday Christmas Wish List no.3

I love shopping for my mom, and for my mother in law! They are probably the two people that I don’t have to worry about when it comes to Christmas shopping! Plus, if you’re anything like our family, getting something a little bit more expensive for mom is much easier when you have siblings that want to go in on a gift with you! So, the spectrum is quite large!

I like to look for things that are practical for mom.  Something she might not want to splurge on herself. Things to look from: Sparkly jewelry, handbags, wallets, perfume and things for the home of course!

Here are a few things that I’ve had my eye on! Hope it helps!

Happy Shopping! 38 Days left!

1. Rebecca Minkoff Touch & Go iPad Case $155
2. Voluspa Candle $25
3. Kate Spade Mint Julep Ring $78
4. Deborah Lippmann Collection 3 Piece Nail Set $42
5. Kate Spade Portola Valley Stacy Wallet $165
6. Kate Spade Portola Valley Blaine Bag $525
7. Merona Marled Cardigan $24.99
8. TOM FORD Violet Blonde Eu de Parfum $145
9. Burberry Nova Check Soft Ballerina Flat $250

the teeny tiny gracelette

Let me start of by saying that I LOVE my arm party! I LOVE LOVE LOVE a full wrist of glorious bracelets! Now, lets take a whole 180 turn- I also LOVE dainty!

The dainty appearance of “less is more” is more than valid when it comes to my new friend the “gracelette“! Yes, there is something about teeny tiny that speaks mountains! These fabulous little things are more then just a sparkle on your wrist. By committing yourself to the “gracelette” you ARE giving back! How fabulous, right? Each gracelette bought goes towards feeding the homeless!

So, put the chunky brass bangles and the hobo beads aside for a moment!! Let your inner beauty shine with love for giving back and rock a little gracellete! I know you’re in love…I just know it! How can you deny? Any  small, tiny and graceful piece of jewellery has a place in every girl’s heart! —– >>> Click.

Here is mine! Gold and Turquoise, my favourite!

Sick Day

For some strange reason I’m still fighting this flu! I NEEED to get rid of it! I’ve spent too many hours in bed. Don’t you hate that feeling, when you start getting stir crazy! Mr. Flu, we’ve got things to do!! I’m off to NYC at the end of the week and I have tons to get done before we leave! So as much as I would like to be in bed getting better… I need to move on with life and get things done! :) Anyone else like that?

Either way, I can guarantee you that I’m getting lots done around here, AND I  can promise you I’ll still be wearing my reindeer pj’s while I’m at it!  I might tweet about them later!

Happy Monday!

PS.. no, that is not my bed. I wish! Photo was grabbed from Pinterest!

11:11:11

Today is a pretty important day in history, Not only is it 2011, on the 11th day of the 11th month, which only happens once ever hundred years.. but it’s also a very significant day in Canada’s history.

Today we celebrate Remembrance Day, the day remembered as the ending of World War 1 on the eleventh hour, of the eleventh day of the eleventh month on November 11, 1918. Today we remember all those who fought for our freedom, and we are thankful!

In addition, today’s Palindrome marks a pretty remarkable day to the Chinese, history in Egypt, plus a lot of moms who want to give birth today! Read more on The National Post, it’s pretty interesting!

Maybe we should grab a coffee today.. meet me at Starbucks at exactly 11:11 am,  11/11/11 11:11.  Don’t worry, we’ll sit in silence.
